I don't know who else is playing but there have been talks of the likes of Black Market Fetus, Chud, and the Horrorshow Hoods. Actually, we are the only band confirmed. That just shows you how much we love the Fallout. Come! Oh yeah... we got the patches!

//02.11.17//	Alright, the Argos CD Release Show was fun and learning, and we don't have any shows on the near horizon. We were going to play the Nov. 30th show at the Fallout, but backed out because... I don't know. But I feel bad so I'll plug it here. Go to that show. Late Dec. we are thinking of having a BIG show to celebrate the winter and cool stuff. It will probably be sometime between Christmas and New Years because frankly, nothing else ever goes on then and it's really boring. Alright, that's about enough for now.
//02.11.14//	Go to the Argos CD Release Show tomorrow, because it's free. And we play. And it will be fun. No word yet on anything new for shows later this month, but I'm sure we'll have something. We'll have new buttons. Patches are on their way. Mario Party 4. Books. I got books.
//02.11.07//	No updates for a while, but it's okay, right? Day of the Dead was a fun show and we all played our instruments. Daren showed up like a good little boy and we were good. This weekend we don't have a show *gasp* but next weekend we have the Argos CD Release Show. Be sure to come, because it's FREE and it will be your first chance to get new buttons (and maybe patches) unless you are cool and we give you them before the show. Check out the Merch section for more info about the new stuff. We also turned in our press kit to be in the Battle of the Bands up here at Iowa. I hope they don't count the jankitiness of our press pack (a ripped-out pocket from a Five-Star notebook taped together) against us. Anyways... there are some more shows towards the end of November, but I don't have any info right now so they are not posted yet. But be sure that EatF will rock you all November long.
//02.10.27//	Guess what? SKAlloween was awesome and you missed a hobbit, a caveman, a schoolgirl, a Daren, and a giant box rocking your world ska-style. Next week is the Day of the Dead festival, which has been moved to the Fallout Shelter so be sure to change your calendars. We play in the late afternoon, but come all day because it's free and there will be lots of free cool stuff and tons of people there. We sold out of our 20 mini CD-singles we made last night, so we are planning on making more. Hopefully we will have about that many for the Day of the Dead show, but they will be different than the SKAlloween ones. That's about all the news I have right now!
//02.10.15//	Well it's been a while, but not much has been happening. We have a few shows coming up including the ska-riffic SKAlloween and the ultra-fantastic-sounding all-day-long Day of the Dead festival. It's free and there are going to be a ton of bands there, what more do you want?? We have been planning more things for the CD and making little fun items for all the EatF fans out there. We just might have some promo 3" CD singles at SKAlloween and the Day of the Dead festival, so look out. Also we are about 70% done with our cover of the Dispensing of False Halos song for the Carbon Copy Cover Comp. It is sounding awesome! //02.09.26//	Sorry about the lack of updates, but updating here at college is still a pain. Eric and I talked about EatF a lot on the car ride back from Omaha tonight, and we think a lot of things are going to change (for the better). Expect our live shows to be 100x more fun and 100x more energetic and cooler. Can you even imagine that?! The CD is kind of being put off for the moment, mostly because of lack of funds, but don't worry- this is our priority right now. We thought that as long as we are postponing the release a little, we should work on some new songs and other songs that didn't quite make the cut before. Hopefully we'll have an ultra-moshable song for all you xhardcorex kids out there! Also, Nick is now officially an un-Quasi and full-time member. He has proven himself in many ways to be worthy of memberhood, and everybody should welcome him into the family. That's about all the news for now. //02.09.04//	What's up? The EATF CD is coming along nicely, with all of the recording done and just mixing and stuff left. We are currently designing the cover and stuff like that. There are two new shows, one this Sunday, so be sure to come if you live close to Cedar falls! They are pretty new, we just found out about both of them within the past few days, so check the shows page for updates. I'll start working on a new site for the new CD, so look for that too, or something. I think that's it for now, so see everyone at the shows! If you can only go to one, though, I'd recommend 515 day, it's gonna rock! --Ryan
//02.08.29//	Lots of brand-new things are happening! The CD has been recorded and just a few more things have to be done to it. Scott has done some mixing to the songs and they sound awesome! The old favorites are sped up and rock out, and the new favorites will certainly rock you as well. We might post some mp3s up here soon. Oh yeah, I also know that none of the mp3s work now, but I will fix that soon. I just need to upload them to the betaminus.org server. So, that's about it for now. We have a show on Sunday- the Green Party show with Argos and many other fun people! Argos plays first and we play second, so come early if you want to see either of us. I also updated the shows page with more info about the show on Sunday and the SKAlloween show. We have also been asked to be on the 515 Cover Comp put out by Carbon Copy Records. The deal with that is that every local band is going to pair up with another band, and they will cover one of each other's songs. We have paired up with local (and national?) heroes Dispensing of False Halos. Everyone is excited about that, and we will start working on our cover soon. That's about it for now! //02.05.21//	I changed the front picture to the flyer for the show on Friday, upon receiving threats that we would not be able to play if we didn't do it. Apparently, all of the other bands are supposed to do this (or HAVE done this) but none of them have. Sweet.

//02.03.28//	ANOTHER update?! Sure, well, I just got word today that we might play the LAST DWS show on Easter Sunday! Oh my god, I feel so honored. Anyways, the Floaters will possibly play at The View on Sunday, March 31st, with DWS, Creepy Kids and some other bands. But, it's not 100% sure yet. So, check back for updates! --Ryan
//02.03.26//	Coming this summer : Eric and the (new) Floaters starring Eric as Eric Floater, Scott as Scott Floater, Cecil as Daren Floater, and HB as Ryan Floater. Okay, that was lame. This summer while Daren is gone for a while in Japan and Malaysia and Ryan is gone in Japan for 2.5 months, Cecil will play bass and HB will play guitar for Eric and the Floaters. Eric will also be lending his vocals to our friends and yours, Argos (see link page for wacky link). What a crazy summer. Too bad I won't be here. Someone should tape the shows for me! That's about all on this front. Eric and I might start writing new songs soon. We hope to have at least one more show in the next two months! DWS is breaking up after this Sunday, so everybody go to the show at the View. I hear some people are leaving, and the name will be changed. //02.03.19//	Since I am going to be gone all summer, and Daren is going to be gone part of the summer, the Great EatF Guitar/Bass Tryouts have begun kind of already in the guestbook. I think HB is headed for one of the coveted spots, and someone else maybe. I don't know if we (they) are actually going to play any shows, but it should be interesting. --Ryan

//02.02.26//	Well, by now you know (or should know) that the Botan show did not go as planned. After getting moved around in the order of bands, Eric dislocated his shoulder and was unable to play. Then, we were going to play a handicapped set with everybody singing (Everybody and the Floaters... haha, get it?) but were unable to find Scott at that point. Then, we just gave up. //02.02.12//	Okay, so Billy won the contest, and we played a show. I got lost in Waverly for 2 hours, and Daren and Scott BOTH forgot Daren's bass there! The Skabortionists have a new bass. Then, Waverly killed my car and it broke down in Waterloo. Then, I took it to a place called Dick Witham... NEVER take your car to a place called Dick Witham. Anyways, I drove it towards Waverly again to pick up the bass and it broke down AGAIN. Repaired... MY ASS! They really did Dick... with me! Ha ha ha! I'm out. PS - Daren got hit on at the show by some cute girl but he says she wasn't cute but don't believe him. I also added a story to my member info (finally)! --Ryan
//02.02.07//	Alright, since I am #2907 today, I thought I'd put this up. We have 93 more people to go, but whoever is #3000 will get a free copy of the CD. That includes an ultra-slim case and the liner notes! Not just some crappy burnt CD! Actually it is burnt, but you won't be able to tell as much. I dunno how we'll be able to tell, and don't just sit there and reload until you get it! Send someone a screenshot of you as #3000 and we'll get it off to you... that is, if you are not a dirty cheater/liar. Okay, that's about it. There's a show this Saturday in Waverly, go if you can! Also, there are a crapload of bands for that Killowatts show which the Killowatts site lists as the 23rd, so I'm going with that date. //02.01.16//	I just updated some of the sections: members, history, shows, and songs. I updated all info about Kevin quitting and added Billy Turned Goth to the songs. No lyrics for that one yet, because I don't know them. The show with the Killowatts now features Very Metal as well, so come out to that one, it will be awesome! --Ryan
//02.01.15//	The show was good. The big news is that Kevin officially left the band. Hopefully he'll still do something with the band, so I'll keep his info up. //02.01.03//	Hope everyone had an awesome new year or something. I cleared this update page, and put all the updates in another page, if anybody was interested. I just got word of a new show (finally!) that will happen sometime in February with THE AMAZING KILLOWATTS! Awesome, huh? Although Eric said it was the 23rd in the Guestbook I guess someone else told him something else, so don't believe that guestbook entry until we know for sure. //01.12.27//	I think I'll make a mandatory 10-day update every 10 days, ok? Anyways, the East show was cancelled, if you didn't know, and we only have one show in the future. A lot of people are coming here and I don't know why, so I thought I'd update for you. Now is a slow time for EatF and all of the people are out and about doing their own thing. I think once school starts again we'll get our stuff together and be able to make some new songs (hopefully!) and try some new things out. We want really bad to start going more serious, but still have fun and dumb songs at the same time. I don't know what'll happen, but hopefully things'll start picking up for us soon. //01.12.06//	I thought this would be better suited here, instead of in the guestbook. This is Eric's account of what happened at the Frank's show: 1. I respected Frank's a little bit until this show. 2. The sound guys were cocks even before things started going bad. 3. The Floaters were NOT repsonsible for any anti-Christan shit. 4. I (Erak) was blamed for the entire incident, and was bitched out by the owner for like twenty min! 5. I apologize for any problems the Floaters caused, but to the Creepy Kids, not Frank's. So, after a big guilt trip and kicking out the Creepy Kids, the Floaters won't be appearing there anytime soon. Maybe if Frank's ever pulls there head out of their asses and sees that we all aren't bad, just 'cause we don't go to church every day. Religon should give advice, not laws! Profanity is fun! --Eric the Warrior This is basically what happened. Creepy Kids unfortunately did not get to play, which sucked a lot. The stuff that went down sucked a lot, and Frank's sucks... //01.11.30//	I have some good news. We recorded THE REST of our songs tonight. That's right, we did Giant Babies, Country Song, Crust, Pink Surprise, and Punk Skunk. We mixed them, and converted them to mp3, but they still need a little tiny bit of tweaking (to raise the audio levels and stuff), so they won't be posted for a little bit. I will try to do it ASAP, but I work tomorrow, so you might have to wait for a while. I also think I will make a special 'songs download' page in the Songs section, because we are getting a lot of audio! But, that won't be until later. That's about it for now. //01.11.27//	Oh, just some little news. I guess I forgot to ever mention that we don't have any more of the first wave of buttons! But don't fear! EatF 2nd Wave was sent out yesterday, and should be pretty awesome. Hopefully we'll have them by the show on Saturday! And, I just wanted to address the amazing 1000+ hits in a month and a half. Wow. How'd we even do that? October 11th was our first guestbook entry (Pam!) so I guess we can call that hit number one. I'm just amazed that we got by 1000 so fast with little/no promotion. Just wanted to say 'thanks!' Well, I guess you all deserve an update, since we have officially gone over 1000 hits! Some stuff has gone on, well not really... we had a good practice today, made a new song and I redid some of the song sections to accurately reflect songs... and stuff. We have a show on Saturday. I think all the info should be good. I'm not totally sure if it is $5 or $6, because I've heard both. However, the Frank's site says its $5, so I'll keep that info up. I don't know when we'll play on Saturday, but all of the bands are worth seeing, so come early and stay late! So, yeah, we have a new song, worked on all the other songs a little, and a new cover. That's three covers out of three shows... so I guess you know what that means: a new cover every show! We'll try! The new song is about Billy. Kevin was our 1000th hit. //01.11.20//	Looks like Eric is a half tooth short. The guitarist of the Creepy Kids gave Eric a daily beating and Eric somehow broke his tooth. We'll try to keep up to date on what's happening. --Daren
//01.11.19//	Got info for the show on the 1st, so I put that up. Oh yeah, I just wanted to mention the fight that took place during the Harry Potter Sucks song (otherwise known as the Crust Song that's not really crust). Billy versus Daren for the new "temp" bassist position. It was a fight for the record books, and something that nobody will ever forget. Billy did win the battle (at least in my opinion), but Daren won the crowd over with his awesome bass-playing skills on The Crowd (how appropriate) by Operation Ivy. If we get video of that (anybody have it?) we'll be sure to post it up here! But, don't hold your breath waiting for it. That's it! We played Botan, it was good. We have the EHS Benefit show coming soon, it should be good. We have a potential show on December 13th, it should be good. We haven't gotten the new buttons yet. We haven't practiced for a while. We should get on that. We might even make a new song or two! Oh yeah, even though Harry Potter broke a ton of box-office records and made a lot of money, thanks to all those people who *didn't* go see it on opening night and saw us instead! //01.11.13//	Yeah, well, you waited, and now there are cool things to do here! There are new fun things in amost every section, so let's go. In Members, info about our new "temp" bassist Daren is there. You might recognize him from DWS or something else, but... whatever! He is our new "temp" bassist. Then, moving on down, the East Benefit show has a date of December 1st (or so I'm told) so, I updated that. In songs, our first mp3, Sensei's Going Insane is up! We recorded it in Eric's basement. It's pretty good, so check it out! In the pics section there are some new pictures from Brandtica (I know... kinda late on that one) and pics from our recording session last night! You can't get no hotter! And, that's about it. So, the bassist situation is kind of as follows: Kevin's dad made it really hard for him to practice with us, so we hired Daren to fill in temporarily, while Kevin either bribes his dad to play full-time or until we find a new bassist. Kevin is not out yet. Daren is not in yet. Everything is in a state of limbo. So, we recorded three songs last night. It was going to be four but... yeah... you know. We recorded Sensei, DWI, and Super Power Baby Mode. Once they get all mixed and producerized, I'll post them, even if they *do* suck. Which, by the way, they WON'T! So, lots of stuff, stay cool. They are a little smaller than I imagined, but I guess that's just because I payed no regard to the height and width dimensions that were specifically given to me beforehand. Oh well. Small, but cool, get yours while they last! Oh yeah, Kevin made some new designs for *new* stickers and buttons, I might order them sometime soon, or maybe I'll just wait until the two shows are over. //01.10.30//	Man, Tony Hawk 3 doesn't come out until tomorrow. If anybody has a PS2, online, and the game, and wants to play email me!! I wanna play online with somebody! Oh yeah, the band... We practiced today, and made up a few new songs. They are listed in the Song section, but with little/no info. Oh well, we'll get the stuff up when we get it! We went through our set a few times, and everything seemed alright for now. Hopefully it's good enough for Friday. So, that's about it. //01.10.29//	Still there? Well, we finally got the buttons! That's right, but since I forgot how to do forms in HTML, it will be a little bit before I get an order form up on the page. //01.10.26//	Yep, we did have practice yesterday, and keeping with tradition we have a new song. It's kinda like crust/hardcore or whatever you wanna call it, its funny. Just wait until you guys hear it. Not much else is going now. STILL haven't gotten the buttons. I'm not so concerned with the stickers, since they said on the site that it would take between 2-7 weeks. The button guy said he sent them out on Monday, so I'm just waiting. We *have* to have them for the show! Ah yes, the show. I think we're ready. It sounds like fun, and everyone should come! I guess the lineup is us, Creepy Kids, Call Me Cool, and of course Driving While Stupid. Should be a fun show. That's about it. //01.10.24//	We didn't have practice yesterday, because I fell asleep. Oops, but Scott was sleeping too. And Kevin got a haircut, so it just seemed like Tuesday wasn't such a great day to have it. Thursday is the next planned practice, and since I was such a bum, I have decided to work on some songs! So maybe we'll have a few more to toss into the mix, plus we are planning to work on our covers and such. But, the *real* news is that I guess Brandtica III, our first show, has been confirmed. By "confirmed", I mean that I read it on the DWS Co-Main Official Page. Billy is always good for info, so it should be pretty legit stuff. DWS and Creepy Kids are set to play, I think EatF will be an opener, since we are the young'uns. Plus, we only have like 5 songs. That's about it. No buttons yet, but hopefully by tomorrow! Definately before the show, and the stickers too. Sorry not much to talk about lately... just taking a little downtime from all of the stuff that has happened in the past few weeks, I guess. //01.10.22//	Nothing much has been going on with EatF recently. Saturday night was the Murder City Devils show in Iowa City, which was awesome. EatF practice is on Tuesdays, I think. I updated the Shows section with a little more info about Brandtica III, but I'm still not 100% if it's going on or not. But if it is, the stuff in the Show section should be right. That's about it for now, maybe we'll make some new songs on Tuesday. I have some lyrics, but just need to figure out a guitar part around them. They may be crappy, and dumb, and the vocals may be a little low, but they are there, so download away! Updated songs with new songs. *Would* have had audio samples of ALL of our songs up, but SOMEBODY (Eric) forgot to get online and send me the file... so... you'll just have to wait for a little long. But, I guess it's good, since these are even more horrible than the ones before! More to come later. Another early-morning update! Thanks to everyone who has downloaded our song! It feels good to have people like stuff that we make. Well, at least it feels good to me. I haven't done that much around here lately, just cleaning some things up (and accidentally deleting Scott's profile), but hopefully we'll get some more music samples (and maybe good recordings soon!), more merch, and other stuff like that soon. We might even make some more recordings tomorrow! About the recording: I don't mind having crappy quality songs on the site if it at least lets people hear the band! That's most important. We are just having fun right now, right? I mean, it kinda sucks that most of our songs are jokey, cuz I like serious songs, but if you know us you should know that we like to have fun and joke around, so I guess the band is an outward extension of that. We'll get around to writing some other kinds of songs, eventually. I like to have tangible things to show that we are really progressing. Buttons and stickers, and now this recording. //01.10.15//	ALRIGHT! Practice went well, even though Kevin couldn't make it. We made up a new song, plus ANOTHER "in progress" song was added into the mix. And, WE NOW HAVE A SONG ON THE WEBPAGE! Yes! Go to the Songs section, and click on Super Power Baby Mode. Man... it's funny, but neither Eric nor I enjoy all these weird/wacky/funny songs we are writing! We wrote this one in, like, an hour. We are going to try to write some more serious stuff soon, to balance out. But, until then, DOWNLOAD! Early morning update!
